Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Summer Camp Construction Programme, Lagos, 2016

Kaiser Foundation for Social Development is delighted to announce a 7- day mentoring and hands-on technical training Programme, which will take place from 4th -10th September, 2016, in Lagos, Nigeria. The STEM Construction Programme keynote address will be delivered by Engr. Igbuan Okaisabor, Vice Chairman/C.E.O, Construction Kaiser Limited. The theme ‘Construction can be fun!’ depicts how the private sector can identify and support secondary school students, stimulate their interests, expose them to construction and encourage them to pursue construction related careers.

In particular, the Programme will focus on career guidance, mentorship, leadership skills, vocational and skills acquisition in construction. The Foundation is desirous that these young students will become Nigeria’s human resource capital, much needed for the sustainability of its construction industry.

Youth unemployment is rapidly increasing and needs to be addressed. The Programme will empower youth and provide a fantastic opportunity for delegates, partners and sponsors to contribute to the development of Nigeria’s indigenous construction industry.
